The novel Matched by Ally Condie is about a girl named Cassia who lives in a society where everything is controlled by the government. At Cassia's matching banquet where she finds out who she is to marry, she finds out that her match is her best friend Xander. However, she finds that the government made a mistake in the match when Cassia sees that the microchip given to her by the government has somebody named Ky displayed, not Xander. Ky is an Aberration, so he cannot get married, but soon enough Cassia falls in love with him secretly. The book continues about Ky and Cassia's relationship, as well as Xander and Cassia's. The book also shows that Cassia is starting to rebel against the government as she grows into herself. The book ends abruptly. I enjoyed it and would recommend it to whomever I feel would enjoy it.

I agree with Olivia that the it did go a bit slow at times, and it was also a little repititve. It would have been more interesting if Cassia and Ky bonded over different things through out the book to make it more exciting. In addition, they could have included Xander more because I felt he was barely part of the book. Overall, the book was interesting and unique in its own way. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys the idea of a utopian society and also a love triangle.

     What was interesting about this story was that the "officials" had planned the whole love triangle for a experiment. If Cassia hadn't seen Ky's face on the screen she probably wouldn't have fallen in love with him in the first place. She didn't even remember he existed until she saw his face again. I think this also is relatable to the real world / people, and in my opinion the social experiment that the "officials" did on Cassia is somewhat accurate.

I enjoyed reading Matched because the whole plot, theme, and setting was very interesting and unique. I liked the idea of a love story taking place in a utopian society where everything is controlled by "officials". Cassia's forbidden love for a boy  that she is not meant to be with is also very intriguing to me.
