This book takes place in the far future of time where people called the Society control everything for the people in the provinces all around. The main protagonist Cassie Reyes lives in Province One with her family. The Society provides everything for the people to make sure that everything is perfect in their lives. The people have a choice of being matched with someone for life, so they can later start a family with only that Match. Everyone dies peacefully when they reach the age of eighty, because the Society arranges their death like that. Cassia had always thought the Society was making their lives perfect, but she started to see how the Society really was when there was a glitch on her micro card. Originally, she was matched with her best friend Xander, which was a rare situation since they live in the same province. Cassia was relieved that Xander was her Match since she wouldn't have to get to her Match like everybody else. She hadn't thought of ever being with him since they were always close best friends, but she was happy it was him. But after seeing Ky Markham's profile on her micro card, she questions whether or not it was a mistake she was matched with Xander. I predict that Cassia will get closer to Ky and start to like him. She will do what she wants in the Society, and find out what is really going on with its ways. Ky will get in the way of Cassia's relationship with Xander, and she'll have to choose whether she'll go against the Society rules to be with Ky, or stay with Xander like she's supposed to.
