Blog - Post 1

In the book, Matched by Ally Condie, the citizens are controlled by what they call "Society". The Society is controlled by Officials who dictate who they love, where they work and when the die.

At the Match Banquets, each teenager is matched with their ideal partner. Cassia always trusted the Society’s choices and has never known them to make mistakes. Especially when she was Matched with her best friend, Xander on her seventeen birthday. According to the Matching Department, Xander was the best Match for Cassia. At the Match Banquet, each Matchee was given a microcard with their partners data and information on it. When Cassia looks at Xanders’ card, their happened to be a glitch. Instead of seeing Xander, she sees Ky Markham, and begins to question everything.
