I feel Matched is a novel showing how society plays a huge part in how we act in the world today. Cassia is matched with Xander, but she feels she is a better match for Ky, even though Society disagrees. This was the first time she every questioned Society, even though she has been following their orders since she was born.

Cassia is interested in the things that ky knows about like drawing, cursive writing and being creative. Cassia isn't allowed to explore beyond her society. She is not sure if she likes ky or the world that he has lived in
