Overall, I wouldn't recommend this book to others. It wasn't a well thought out book and I had a hard time getting through all of it. There were some parts that hooked me but others that weren't very interesting and made me want to put the book down. I thought the idea was interesting and it would have been great if there was more development in the characters and the plot. I thought that each character could have been explained more and given a bigger role throughout the novel. Even Cassia wasn't explained very much throughout the book and it was hard to relate to what she was going through because she didn't rebel against anyone unlike most teens do today. In conclusion, the novel, had a few great parts but most of it wasn't as good as  I thought it would be, and I probably wouldn't recommend it to many poeple.

I agree with you that there were some interesting parts in the novel and others that made the reader want to put the book down. For example, I thought that the ending of the novel became more interesting but other parts like Cassia's time spent hiking made me want to put the book down and never pick it up again. I also agree with you that the idea for the novel was great and that it could've been a really good book if there had just been more development in the characters and plot.

I agree with your statement. I found that most of the different parts of the novel were very interesting such as when Cassia decides to go against the governments ways and go where Ky is stationed at the end of the novel. I found it very interesting and fun how both Cassia and Ky didn't settle for love. Although most of the novel was interesting, some other parts of the novel were very boring. Such as when Cassia goes hiking or when she goes to the movies for free time. I think those parts of the novel were not needed and unnecessary.
